What is an admin?
The administrative team (aka "the admins" or "mods") are the team of volunteers that keep the group running. Chosen from within the group, we do all sorts of things around the space including but not limited to: "working the gate" which means managing folks who have petitioned to join the group, managing posts reported by members, answering member questions, directing members to common resources, enacting the group guidelines, and addressing controversial (sub)threads and posts. We always keep our eyes out for members who may be interested in admin status, but it's immensely helpful when people take the initiative and actively volunteer. Not everyone who volunteers is chosen for active mod duty, but anyone can step up and be a good member by actively engaging with other members in positive ways, reporting threads that need our attention, directing other members to common resources, and as always, simply being decent to each other.
If you'd like to apply for consideration of admin status, please fill out the form below.
We need both the name your Facebook account is under and your preferred name, if different from your FB name.
Use any and all words you use to describe yourself.
We try to have as well rounded an admin team as possible so we can best address the concerns of the group.
In your local time zone. This means more than just casually being on Facebook. This means you'd be able to designate at least 75% of your attention to the group and be able to engage with members.
